The School Exhibition - Hushrav Buhariwalla

- when in class IV–B
The School Exhibition was very exciting. We displayed the things we had made the year around. The teachers, parents and visitors said that our class had a variety of exhibits and there was no repetition. For Social Studies we had to do a project on Transport. We were divided into groups. Adit Dani, Achintya Shah, Avakash Waghmare and Aaryan Jogani were in my group. We made use of our creative ideas and put up a wonderful project on Waterways. In Science we made wind wheels that actually moved!! We grew fungus. We had to keep bread in a moist place for a couple of days and fungus started growing on it. We also did a starch test. We put a few drops of iodine on slices of bread and halved potatoes and it turned a bluish black. If it did not contain starch this would not have happened. For Science we were again put into groups. We had to design wrist watches. All of us put our heads together and did an amazing job. We made mind maps on the lesson Rikki Tikki Tavi. A mind map gives you information on one whole topic at a glance. We prepared cluster diagrams for lessons and poems like The Flower Seller. A cluster diagrams quite similar to a mind map as it gives you information at one glance but on a sub topic. For Hindi we prepared charts on kriya (verbs), sangya (nouns), and many other topics. All our charts looked attractive. For Grammar we made some fancy charts. We prepared mind maps for topics like Gender and Number. We learnt to write acrostic poems in English Language and Literature. In an acrostic poem you have to write the name of a person or thing across and put down the qualities that go along with the person or thing. For Mathematics we made Magic Fraction Circles and cut up sandwiches to show fractions. We also made charts and other articles on many other topics. I enjoyed my work during the year.
