Class of ‘52
I joined Campion in 1951 and I still have very vivid memories of the Principal Rev. Fr. More who was a martinet and a keen Scout Master. I recollect that Campion was not really on the sports map at that time and it was left to Fr. Serks to provide the impetus in that direction. As we were a small school there was no real danger of losing our identity. The scouting movement teaches a boy to be independent besides inculcating a sense of discipline. I still recall Miss Grant my English teacher and Mr. Brown who taught me Mathematics. To Campionites of the present and the future I say – ‘study hard” something more easily said than done.
