SCORPIO In “The Daily”
Campion old boys’ mag.
In these days links between teachers and students are extremely tenuous. Gone are the days when this relationship endured even after the student had left school. One way to nature and sustain this feeling for the Alma mater is the formation of old boys’ associations. Theses not only foster the sense of camaraderie and belonging amongst past students but also prove beneficial to the school which can easily enlist help and advice from them.
One such active association is the Campion School’s Old Campionites’ Association. Quite apart from the usual round of social and dinner gatherings the OCA now brings out an extremely lively quarterly magazine which further strengthens the bonds not only of the old students with the school but with each other.
The first Issue edited by Homi Rogers Osborne D’Souza and Adi Merchant features such diverse personalities as Nirmal Ruia of Dawn Mills and poet Kamala Das the latter a Campion parent. Also within the covers are contests and a job opportunity column.
