No doubt you have been patiently for this issue of the Campion School Magazine for a long time. Indeed some of you may have nearly despaired of ever seeing it. I hope that this first issue will compensate you abundantly for your patient resignation.
Strictly speaking this cannot be called the First Number. The First Number appeared in 1950 and though it was a modest publication was nevertheless called the Campion School Magazine. This explains why the present issue is the Second Number. Yet in many ways it is also a First Number since we hope that it will be the first of an uninterrupted series of issues of the Campion School Magazine. Future Numbers may sometimes have a humbler appearance than this one but we have good hopes that the Campion School Magazine will always be a fine production. As you know there is a very special reason for the extraordinary features of the present issue. We are celebrating the Tenth Anniversary of the foundation of Campion School, as well as the addition of Std VIII which we have good reason to hope will be followed by the addition of Std IX in 1954 and so on until Campion School  is a complete High School. For this reason we have spared neither pains nor expense to put a worthwhile issue and we have appropriately dedicated this Number to our first Indian Cardinal. The Magazine is meant to be a souvenir and contains a recapitulation of the first ten year of Campion School. Hence we have printed all available photos and have given a summary of the principal events of the School’s history.
Let us hope and pray that Blessed Edmund Campion will bless this enterprise and help us with his powerful intercession so that Campion School may continue to be what it has been up to the present – dear to all its students and n honour to God.
