Javed is a dynamic entrepreneur with over 21 years of experience in establishing and steering a number of ventures under the “Clover Group of companies”. His entrepreneurial abilities and passion to create sustainable business models has enabled the Clover Group to establish a strong presence across varied sectors from Information Technology to Real Estate and Infrastructure to Renewable Energy. He is the Founder and MD of Clover Infotech Pvt. Ltd, Clover Solar Pvt. Ltd, and Clover Realty and Infrastructure Ltd.
In 1999, Javed took an early lead in understanding the true potential of Linux and Open Source technologies. His visionary abilities came to the fore when he spearheaded the Linux revolution in the Indian market (which was then dominated by UNIX). He established a unit within Clover Infotech focused entirely on delivering best practices for Open Source technologies. In the year 2000, Javed led Clover Infotech into a joint venture with Red Hat, Inc. He successfully grew operations of Red Hat India Pvt. Ltd. and served as the company's Director and then President for over six years.
Javed is an active member of the Indian chapter of Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO), Young Presidents Organization (YPO) that seeks to recognize young entrepreneurs in the country. He has served on the board of YEO and is currently on the executive committee of the Bombay Chapter of YPO.
Javed is a MBA from the Fuqua School of Business-Duke University, USA. He is also the founder of Duke University’s Fuqua Alumni Club in India.
