As an actor he has played minor roles in various films starting with Patthar Ke Phool in 1991. Vivek played a chracter named Lovechand Kukreja in the superhit film Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992) starring Shahrukh Khan.The actor also appeared in hit films like Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, Soldier, Aa Ab Laut Chalen (1999),Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa (2000), Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves (2008) and more.
His upcoming films are 42 Kms. (2009) by Nisha Chainani and Toonpur Ka Superhero (2009) starring Ajay Devgan and Kajol.And Vivek will also appear in his own production Dulha Mil Gaya which has Sharukh Khan, Fardeen Khan and Sushmita Sen in the lead role.
As a producer and writer
In 1991 he produced Patthar Ke Phool Starring Salman Khan and Raveena Tandon. He has also produced an English film named Everybody Says I'm Fine! (2001) which is written and directed by Rahul Bose. Vivek has written and produced Anant Mahadevan's Dil Vil Pyar Vyar (2002) and also Muddassar Aziz's Dulha Mil Gaya (2010).
