For nearly twenty five years Mr. Gussain worked hard to keep the flag of Hindi flying very high in the school. He was the main person to give the Hindi Organization ‘Sanskar’ its shape and stability in the school and was its first moderator. His style of teaching was loud and clear, He was able to communicate in simple language with his students. He understood children very often forgave them for their mischief and still maintained a very good rapport with them. When at college in Deradun as a student he had started a Hindi News Magazine called ‘MANDAKINI’ which had a very good response. In Bombay he started the Hindi News Magazine ‘HILANS’ which enjoyed a good readership till he had to discontinue it in 1996 due to his failing health. For many years when he was a teacher at Campion he used to give a radio broadcast on the All India Radio on History. Our History students were brought down to the V I room to listen to his broadcast. It was part of their teaching assignment. A tall handsome well built teacher he impressed students with his fund of knowledge on subjects ranging from languages to history to civics to politics
